Last day of my refresh. Today might be tough. I’m also starting my new workout program and it’s a work day, which means a little more stress than the weekend. But I can make it through.
Yesterday we got a new coffee machine and I don’t even get to try it out until Tuesday. I’m a little bummed about that, but I will drink my tea and wait patiently.
After doing my 3 Day Refresh, I don’t want to go back to filling my body with crap. I’ve decided I’m going to keep some of the grains out of my diet. This week the only things I will be eating when it comes to grains is steal cut oatmeal, brown rice and corn tortillas. I want to try to keep my diet gluten free for a while and see how my stomach does. It seems like every since I turned 40 my stomach is so much more sensitive. So I want to be as easy on it as I can. I’m also keeping most of the dairy out, except my fair life milk (it’s lactose free), and maybe a little cheese depending on the meal, but the cheese will be limited.
I had my normal tropical strawberry shakeology and grapefruit this morning for breakfast while I in a conference call. Don’t mind my messy desk. Haha.
My two older boys left to go camping for the night so they could see the Super Moon up close and away from the city lights. So that means it’s just me for the rest of the day on my refresh. My son and I both drank our fiber sweep drink and then he packed up his vanilla fresh shakes and stopped at the store to get some veggies to eat the rest of the day. I can’t wait to hear if he stuck to it while he was camping.
I was a little worried about myself though without having the accountability of both my boys here. I was afraid I would just throw in the towel and eat! But I didn’t. I honestly didn’t even feel that desire too eat anything that wasn’t on plan.
Oh my gosh… lunch! I had apple slices with almond butter and cinnamon sprinkled on top. #mindblown! Have you tried that before? If not, get up right now, got get an apple, some almond butter and cinnamon. Don’t worry, I will wait….. Ha! Seriously though, super yummy. I also finished off the cucumber salad and drank my shake.
For my afternoon snack, I wasn’t super hungry again, but I knew that I needed to eat, so I cut up a pepper and some avocado. That hit the spot.
Dinner was simple too, I cut up two huge brussel sprouts and some baby carrots and steamed them and then tossed them in some coconut oil and I drank my shake.
Well that is my last meal! I will have a cup of tea before bed again and then I’m done. I can’t wait to weigh and measure tomorrow and see what my results are.
