21 Day Fix Round 1: Results

So if you have been reading my blog or have read every day of this round of the 21 Day Fix, then you know that the last week I wasn’t able to do the workouts mostly due to the horrible headaches I had. BUT, I still followed the nutrition plan and I still got daily activity from walking or trying to run. This round really showcases how great you can do with just the nutrition portion of this program. I plan on doing another round of 21 Day Fix and follow both the fitness and nutrition plan 100%, I’ve done it in the past and had pretty awesome results… so be watching for my posts for Round 2. I haven’t decided when I’m going to start it yet, I have some traveling for work to do, so I’m probably going to switch to Country Heat while I’m traveling because it doesn’t require any equipment. There is a new program coming out in November that I’m super excited about, it’s an MMA style program called Core De Force. I’m thinking I will do a round of that when it comes out. So I think 21 Day Fix Round 2 will probably be sometime after the first of the year.

Before I share my physical results, I wanted to talk a little about my other results. I was thinking about this actually this morning as I looked my physical results. I don’t think I have mentioned it much during the course of these 21 days, but I am a binge eater. I was getting really out of control before I decided to follow this plan. I was bingeing almost every day. I’ve been working on my weight lost for about a year and a half and over that time I had lost 75 pounds, but during my last out of control bingeing that lasted a couple months, I had gained about 20 pounds back. I’m happy to say that I haven’t binged in almost a month. I’m slowly losing the weight again and I feel in control of myself and my life again.

Ok so enough of that, I know you all want to see my results…. so here you go:

In 21 days, I lost 7 pounds and 11 inches. I lost 4 of those inches from around my belly button, and 1 inch from my arm!!! During the whole time I’ve been losing weight, I have only lost about 3 inches from my arm in total, so for 1 of those inches to come from just this 21 days is amazing! I’m so excited because I’m really self conscious about my bat wings!!!!

21 Day Fix Round 1: Day 21

Woot Woot, I made it 21 days.  I kind of feel like a cheater though because this last week I haven’t actually done any 21 Day Fix workouts, but I have followed the nutrition plan, so you can at least get an idea of what you can eat and what kind of results you can get from following this nutrition plan.  Weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise.

Timg_3901-2oday I was planning on going for a long run, I pre-fueled with some banana and almond butter and some energize.  I love energize because it’s an all natural pre-workout that gives me plenty of energy, but doesn’t give me that tingly feeling other pre-workouts give me.  After I laced up my shoes I decided to ask my hubby if he and the kiddo wanted to go with me.  So my run wasn’t quite as long as I had planned, but it was still a good one.  I’m only about 1000 steps away from hitting my stretch day goal for my Stepbet…. yah, that means we went over 12,000 steps on our walk/run!  Not too shabby.

When I got home from our run/walk, I refueled with a mocha.  (Vegan Chocolate Shakeology with coffee and banana)  Yum!  (1 red, 1 purple)   I had big plans of cleaning house, but I never did that.  Instead I just relaxed and hung out with the family.

I also threw a pork loin in the crock pot.  I wrapped it in a couple sliced of bacon and then smothered it with diced green chilis and let it cook on low for 8 hours.  Once it was done, I took it out of the crock pot and shredded it.  The smell it gave off all day was excruciating, it made everyone so hungry!

For lunch I had 2 soft boiled eggs on a piece of toast with an orange.  I felt like I needed the carbs and protein after my calorie burn today.  It hit the spot perfectly.  (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 purple)

When it was finally time for dinner, it was ahhh-mazing!  I cut up all the fixings for tacos…. tomatoes, lettuce, olives, green onions, cilantro, lime and avocado and we devoured some pulled pork tacos.  So good!  (1 yellow, 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue)

It’s been a great 21 days and those tacos were a great way to finish it off.  I can’t wait to take my measurements and my after pictures tomorrow and see the difference that has happened in 3 weeks!!!!  Check in with me tomorrow!
