We made it to Friday!! Woo Hoo!!! So far it’s been a great Friday. Well… let me back up… the dog woke me up so many times last night the last time being at 4:30 this morning. I thought for sure that was going to set me up for binge eating just because I would be tired. BUT I wasn’t going to let that happen, so I made myself do some meditation this morning. It’s just amazing how centered I felt afterward. I started doing a morning routine this year, I would mediate for 10 minutes, read 10 pages of a personal development book, journal for about 5-10 minutes and then get my workout done. It was a great way to start my day, but something happened about 2 months ago and I just kind of fell off track. I get my work outs done, but I haven’t been doing the rest. I didn’t realize how much it actually affected me until I finished my mediation this morning and felt amazing. I know you may be thinking “Meditation… that’s hippy dippy shit” haha, but seriously it helps me so much. All my scattered thoughts were gone and I honestly felt relaxed, calm and at peace and ready to start my day. If you haven’t ever tried it, you should check it out. I use an app called Headspace, you can get the first 10 sessions for free and they are only 10 minutes long. It’s a great way to get started.
Since I knew I was going to be tired, I immediately made some coffee this morning and oh my gosh, it seemed like the best coffee I have ever had. That was even before the meditation. lol I used 1 yellow container for the milk in my coffee.
After coffee, I had just enough time to get my Cardio Fix done before my first meeting of the morning, so I headed downstairs to get that knocked out. It was a great work out. Intense! I had to follow Kate (the modifier) for some of the moves. With this one, there are 4 rounds with 2 exercises in each round and the exercises last 60 seconds each. So you are really working hard for 60 seconds and then you have 20 seconds to catch your breath. Most of the exercises I could make it through the full 60 seconds, but there were a few that I could get through 30 seconds, then I would follow Kate for 20 seconds and then finish strong the last 10 seconds. By the bonus round I was dripping sweat and I burned 250 calories in that 30 minutes.
As soon as I was done killing my workout, I had about 2 minutes to get into my first meeting of the day. I quickly washed the sweat off my face and threw some left over coffee and a scoop of vegan chocolate shakeology into a shaker bottle and hopped on my call. I knew there was no way I could make it an hour without having something to eat after that workout. (1 red) Doesn’t my headset look cute?
After my meeting I thought I would do a quick fun workout to try to get me closer to my step goal, so I danced away to a Country Heat workout. It was so much fun and again I was dripping sweat by the end of the 25 minutes and I burned 214 calories for that one…. but I’m still only at 5,427 steps for the day so far. uggg.
After all that I was starving and it was close to lunch time, so I decided I would skip the morning snack and go straight to lunch! Tacos!!!! Woot Woot. I just needed a margarita with them. I also had half of a honey crisp apple with some almond butter. I just love my Pampered Chef apple corer. It is awesome!!!! (1 red, 1 yellow, 1/2 blue, 1 green, 1-1/2 purple, 4 teaspoons)
If you are ever curious about how I came up with my container counts, just ask. I’m happy to explain!
Did you realize that today is Flex It Friday!!! I decided to take a pic for the occasion! It’s just amazing to me how much more confident and how strong this program makes me feel. I haven’t felt this good about myself in a few months. I was a little discouraged this morning when I stepped on the scale, I haven’t seen a whole lot of movement there, so I got out the tape measure and measured a couple places and even though the scale isn’t moving the measurements are. I can’t even see some of the changes that are happening, I’m not talking feeling different in my clothes, but I can actually see my waist looking a little smaller in my clothes. I can’t wait until the end of this 21 days to see the results, I think there is going to be a pretty significant difference between my before/after pics.
For my afternoon snack I had two green containers of salad and some oil and vinegar for dressing. I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. I also had a Tropical Strawberry Shakeology with 1/2 of a frozen banana for a red and purple container. (2 green, 1 orange, 1 purple, 1 red)
And last but not least, dinner was my last of my prepped tacos. And they were so good still!!!!! After dinner it was off to Mayson’s soccer game and then we went grocery shopping. I realized when I got to the store that I forgot my wallet. Ugg. But they take Apple Pay at the store so I was still able to go grocery shopping, because who leaves their phone at home? I NEED that. haha. (1 red, 1 yellow, 1/2 purple, 1/2 blue)
