21 Day Fix Round 1: Day 17

Well, sleeping off my headache didn’t work.  I think I’m going to see if we have any acupuncture providers in the area.  I’m willing to try anything at this point.  I hate this and I need to be able to function.  Being in constant pain makes it really hard to stay motivated to work out, to work, and eat healthy.

img_3827Before I went to bed last night  I forgot to add the almond milk to my oats to make overnight oats, so I guess I will be making hot oats this morning.  But first, I’m headed out for a walk.  Even if my head is keeping me from doing my 21 Day Fix workouts, I’m going to get some kind of activity in and I need my steps!!!!

Well, ended up being a change of plans with my breakfast.  I made an appointment with a chiropractor this morning and I had a meeting…. so I ran out of time and was bad and didn’t eat breakfast at all.  I went to the chiropractor and got adjusted.  She said my neck was out of line.  I go back on Friday to get another adjustment.  Hopefully this helps my headaches.  I believe that my neck is out of line, it’s been so stiff since Saturday and hurts to move it.  I just hope this helps.

lunchWhen I got home I was starving…. uh it was lunch time already.  I’m so bad.  I quickly threw together a shakeology and sucked that down.  (1 red, 1 purple)  I had planned on having a shakeology before I went to my appointment, but I made my son a green berry with banana shakeology and then didn’t have time to make myself one.  The life of a mom right?  It makes me happy to get my boys hooked on shakeology though, at least then I know he’s getting something healthy in his 22 year old body.

For the rest of my lunch I made some crab stuffed portobello mushrooms.  I had planned on making these early this week and prepping a few extras for my lunch, but I didn’t have time until today… and I found most of my mushrooms were moldy.  They are super easy to make though, you can get the recipe here!  Along with my mushrooms, I had some cucumber and sweet potato.  (1 yellow, 2 greens, 1 red, 1 blue)  I ended up not even being able to eat everything, I’m trying really hard to listen to my body and stop eating when I’m full and not overstuffed, so I stopped and saved the rest for tomorrow!

beef-hash-huevos-rancherosMy head is really killing me again this afternoon.  I skipped my afternoon snack and then my son made dinner tonight.  It was really yummy and I wanted to eat more, but I stopped at one.  He made Corned Beef Hash Huevos Rancheros.  It wasn’t the healthiest, but it was yummy and it does fit my plan and I added some baby carrots.  (1 yellow, 1 red, 1 green) 

Before dinner I took my 6 year old on a walk.  Well he rode his bike and I walked.  I’m had to get some more steps!  Now I’m counting down the time until it’s bedtime, my head feels like it’s going to explode.
